3 March 2016Approximately three-quarters of our business are inbound. We advise investors looking into a Turkish venture or business with a Turkish party. In most cases, we continue to advise the client’s Turkish venture, post-closing. The remaining part of our business is outbound, where we represent Turkish clients in regard to their business abroad.
Inbound matters often require close collaboration with the client’s project- or international counsel, who coordinate the overall transaction. In contrast, in outbound matters, we often recruit and instruct counsel in the relevant jurisdictions to handle local legal work, while we oversee the project in its entirety.
Does size matter? No. We don’t have a preference for client- or transaction size criteria. As a result of this approach, our client and transaction portfolio include closely-held companies with limited international experience, who seek a reliable partner to advise and guide them in less-charted waters. At the same time, our portfolio includes multinationals, who expect their legal advisors to meet a tough standard of responsiveness and quality of work.
